We’re excited to serve with you! There are lots of fun ways to serve and share your gifts at Free Spirit Church.
Care
We are caring for people throughout the year. When people are in need, we want to be there.
The Care Team provides ongoing support to people experiencing a life event or crisis.
We connect with people through some of the following ways: phone calls to assess needs, providing meals and support, home and hospital visits to those who are ill or shut in, support during a loss, memorial services, and more.
Praise Team
The Free Spirit Praise Team is a great place to meet new people, have fun singing, and get introduced to the Worship Ministry! We sing on occasional Sundays, and during special events and video recordings.
Connection
The Connection Team is the "concierge" at Free Spirit Church. This team answers questions, provides information, and helps people get more plugged in at Free Spirit. There are various ways to serve on this team, including: talking directly to people at our Connect Booth, data entry, emails, and more. If you have great communication skills, data entry and administrative skills, or knowledge about our church, this is for you!
Creative
The Creative Team creates content to tell the story of Free Spirit Church through: photography, videography, and social media, and also manages online church. We're currently seeking individuals with skill and experience in all of these areas + a knack for storytelling and working with people. Some projects can be worked on remotely (such as photo and video editing, administrative tasks) but our biggest need right now is for live social media reporting, and experienced photographers with availability on Sunday mornings.
Facilities
The Facilities Team helps to maintain "God's house" through cleaning and maintenance throughout the week, and especially on Sundays during weekly church services. In addition to that, this team often helps with setup and tear-down for services and events. Occasional heavy lifting may be required.
First Responders
First Responders are people currently involved or have past experience within the medical field. People who can facilitate an effective response to the emergencies which occur in the church. We strive to create a safe environment in the midst of an emergency, taking into hand what can be done onsite and calling the proper authorities when required.

Greeters
Greeters serve as the 2nd point of contact as people arrive on campus for services and events. They greet people with a warm welcome and help them find their way around the campus. Greeters are stationed outside, at the church door, and inside the lobby areas. If you love interacting with people and spreading joy, then this is for you!
Hospitality
The Hospitality Team serves at weekly church services and events by creating welcoming environments for members and guests. We're looking for people who enjoy decorating, preparing and serving food, and who want to help make our church feel like "home" for all.
Kids Ministry
Do you enjoy working with Kids? Free Spirit Kids serves babies-3rd grade during weekly church services and occasional midweek events. We're looking for fun, friendly people to help in various ways: teaching, leading a group in activities, caring for babies in the nursery, assisting with check-in, and more! At this time, we have the most need during Sunday mornings.
Natural Disaster Relief Team (gathering interest)
We're gathering interest for those who may want to join or lead this new task force. We want to form a group of individuals who are willing and able to come alongside our church members and meet the unique needs they might have during this season of storms.
We'd love to hear from you! Do you own a truck, or own tools and equipment that might be helpful? Are you experienced in construction, fence repairs, household repairs (roofing, leaks, electrical, etc). or just able-bodied and willing to jump in and help? Please submit your interest and we'll get back to you!
Production
The production team creates powerful, distraction-free onsite experiences and weekly Sunday Services through live the use of lighting, video technology, audio engineering, operating slides (visual aids), and directing the flow of live production. Experience in these areas is preferred, but if you're tech savvy, a quick learner, and operate well under pressure, we will provide training!
Setup and Tear Down
Our setup/teardown team will be the front lines, behind the scenes operating to embody the “Free Spirit” vibe, a welcoming environment for each and every person that walks through the doors of Free Spirit Church. This includes setting up chairs, tables, signage, and overall feeling of home; following up after to reset the room for the next people to visit Midtown.
Requirements:
- Ability to Lift and Move Heavy Objects (40-50lbs)
- Basic Knowledge of Cleaning (mopping, sweeping, wipedowns, ect.)
- Willingness to Learn
Security
The Security Team helps secure a safe environment at our church services and events.
Street Team
Parking Team Members are the first to welcome people into our campus and into our community. Beyond being on the frontlines for hospitality, our Parking Team ensures safe and smooth entry, exit, and parking experiences for every guest.

Ushers
The Ushers Team helps to ensure a welcoming experience for all inside the worship center during weekly services and events. We meet, greet, and seat people, and provide whatever is necessary inside the worship center. Do you love helping others, and have a positive "customer service" attitude? You would be a great usher!
Youth Ministry ( Free Spirit YTH)
Want to serve in Free Spirit YTH Ministry? Adult volunteers needed! Setting a fun and safe atmosphere requires a family of volunteers. We have several opportunities for you to get involved:
We're in need of support in setting up and tearing down for all YTH events small and large. We have spots for creative volunteers to capture and share the stories of our young people through video and social media. We're also seeking technical support to help run the sound and visuals for our YTH experiences.
Lastly, we’re in need of passionate volunteers to invest in our future and that starts with our YTH Tribes. As a tribe volunteer you will help lead, mentor, coach, facilitate discussions and will make lasting impressions on our young people for generations.
